A stag antler ryusa, finely carved with a whistling bird, adjacent to a chrysanthemum flower, the reverse with two more flowers in the early stages of bloom.

The body of the material completely excavated and two generous asymmetrical himotoshi to the reverse.

Signed: Ren (Rensai). Asakusa. Last half of the 19th Century.
