Fox Mask

A lightly stained boxwood Fox Mask.

Grimacing and peering menacingly forward. The ears are pricked high with alertness, and the whiskers and eyebrows which are carved in relief are taut. A small pair of fangs jut from the closed mouth.

This would suit being married to an Inro of related design due to its light weight nature.

Anonymous. Sansho Studio. Meiji Period.
